I am a registered nurse of very long standing, with many years’ experience.  However, I was a shorthand typist prior to taking up nursing and for some years I alternated between nursing and private medical practice.  Since leaving the nursing workforce I have extended my skills and knowledge in medical typing/transcription, both in private and in the hospital setting and for most medical/surgical modalities.  I have an excellent knowledge of hospital and laboratory IT systems.  I am fast and accurate.  I have many other skills, including excellent customer service.
